Brainhorn Has been a work in progress for nearly six years, often being sidelined in favour of paying gigs (cover-bands). But now Brainhorn finally has a stable lineup and will proceed to shake up the seething cauldron of mediocrity that is the Perth original music scene.

Incorporating diverse (and often contradicting) influences, Brainhorn's diverse music can be fun and whimsical one minute, then launch into the heaviest and most punishing riffs and grooves. Subtle ciaroscuro and mellowness lull you into a false sense of security before blinding contrasts vibrate with furious intensity.

On stage Brainhorn are the very antithesis of the shoe-gazing, hipper than thou, art-student-wanker bands than infest Perth. A tight, high energy unit that has to be seen to be believed, Brainhorn combine intelligent songwriting with technical and musical proficiency to produce a unique presence on stage.
