For the first week of fashion, for all those awaiting eagerly, we'll start from the bottom up, with footwear for all you skankers!

Starting with the males and for the ruder inclined lot of you, lets start off with the basic creeper. Detectable by its thick sole, leather upper (leather look for the vegan-friendly) and swingin' style, this type of shoe has long been a favourite of rudeboys and gals around the world. It is common to see the creeper decorated with flames, stars, stripes or skins although they are available as a plain leather creeper.

Maybe your already really tall or creepers just aren't your thing...if so, a classy chunky soled shoe buffed to a high shine, or even patent leather is also a very swank look. The skull and crossbones insert on the pair below adds a nice touch to this already outstanding piece of footwear.

Stylish lill' ladies, the creeper is also a great look for you! Traditional lace-ups are a nice look as well as the schoolgirl Mary-Janes style that is favoured by many. In just as many (if not more) stylish creations as the guys you can have new sharp shoes every day of the week.

To avoid deadly skunk feet, its recommended socks are worn at all times! Girls, knee socks are nice with a swank short skirt, or you can go for some plain ankle socks if you don't want them to be seen. Tights can be a good look too, fishnet or otherwise, or even a cool 50's style seamed pair. Guys, never seem to get it right, dark socks with dark pants, light socks with shorts!

Although swanking up is a lot of fun it is not always convenient, particularly at shows where you are expected to be skanking round the clock or just plain can't be bothered. For these occasions, a nice sneaker will suffice. My personal favourites are the vans old schools, favoured by the mainly the hardcore crowds but a nice shoe nonetheless, the creeper/sneaker hybrid or the oldie but still a goody, high cut chucks.
