Mediocre Generica
Leftover Crack

hellcat - 2001

by Rohan Bankrupt
25/11/2001

Like its predecessor Choking Victim, Leftover Crack seems to have a musical split personality, their lo-fi, operation ivy-esque ep's and their super produced, slick albums, impressive considering the band members are a bunch of stinking squatters. Leftover Crack are a hornless ska band, like opIV except a little more hardcore. The vocalist "Stza" sounds alot like whatshisname from Kid Dynamite.

Some useless info for you, this album was suppose to be released last year with the name "shoot the kids at school" but the distributor refused to distribute it and the printer refused to print the covers, so the artwork had to be redone and the title changed, Leftover Crack was effectively censored.

Musically this album has less ska than Choking Victim, although they have gone all out with organs, spooky sounds ,weird samples and general production frivolity, although sometimes the long intro's to songs can get a little annoying, still a classy release, Highly Recommended
